Entry: NDA Entry/NA Entry.

Age: 16 ½ to 19 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification:12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Gender:Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written exam for NDA conducted by UPSC.

Place of Training: 3 years atNational Defence Academy, Pune and 1 year at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Duration of Training: 4 years.

Stipend during Training: Rs 56,100 per month during 1-year training atIndian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Type of Commission: Permanent.

*Candidates who are selected for NA (Naval Academy) entries directly go to the Indian Naval Academy for 4 years.

**Candidates are awarded B.Tech degree at the end of 4 year training.

Entry: (10+2) B.Tech Entry

Age:16 ½ to 19 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Gender: Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) (for B.E./ B.Tech) exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) –  All India Rank.

Place of Training: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Duration of Training: 4 years.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month after 3 years of training.

Type of Commission: Permanent

Entry: AFMC Entry

Age: 17 years in December of the year of application.

Educational Qualification: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and not less than 50% in any of the 5 subjects.

Selection Procedure: Candidate will have to appear in NEET, based on the marks obtained in NEET shortlisted candidates will be called for ToELR test and interview.

Place of Training: AFMC, Pune.

Duration of Training: 4 ½ years of MBBS and 1 year of internship.

Join Indian Navy After Graduation :

Entry: CDSE Entry (PC)

Age: 19 to 22 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.

Gender: Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written Combined Defence Services Exam conducted by UPSC.

Place of Training: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Duration of Training: 18 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Permanent.

Entry: NCC Special Entry (SSC)

Age: 19 to 22 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.

Selection Procedure: Those candidates who have acquired NCC Naval Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate and fulfil the educational qualification will be called for SSB interview directly after application.

Join Indian Navy Through INET

Like the AFCAT exam for Indian Air Force, Indian Navy has also started conducting its own exam called the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET). It offers careers in various branches of Indian Navy.

Age: 20 to 25 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification (Air Traffic Controller): BE/B.Tech in any discipline from AICTE recognized institute / university with minimum 60% marks. (Candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class X or class XII).

Note: Candidates applying for the Education entry must have scored minimum of 60% marks in class X and class XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class X or class XII.

Selection Procedure: For all the above entries candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written exam called Indian Navy Admission Test (INET) conducted by the Indian Navy.

Place of Training: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Duration of Training: 6 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission except for the Education Branch. Permanent Commission is offered only in the Education Branch through INET entry.

Entry: JAG Entry.

Age:22 to 27 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in Law from a college/university recognized by Bar Council of India, qualifying them for enrollment as advocates under the Advocates Act, 1961.

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be directly shortlisted for SSB interview after reception of application form.

Place of Training: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Duration of Training: 6 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.

NOTE:

Selection in all the entries is subject to vacancies, medical fitness and final merit list.The final merit list is made by combining the written marks and the marks obtained in the SSB interview. In case there was no written exam for a particular entry the final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the SSB interview.
