Join Indian Army Through 10+2 Entries:


Entry: NDA Entry

Age: 16 ½ to 19 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification:12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board or a University.

Gender:Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written exam for NDA conducted by UPSC.

Place of Training: 3 years at National Defence Academy, Pune and 1 year at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Duration of Training: 4 years

Stipend during Training: Rs 56,100 per month during 1-year training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Type of Commission: Permanent.


Entry: TES Entry

Age: 16 ½ to 19 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: 12th pass of the 10+2 pattern with aminimum aggregate of 70% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics from recognized education boards.

Gender: Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates will appear for SSB interview after being shortlisted on the basis of their class 12 percentage.

Place of Training: OTA Gaya and Indian Military Academy.

Duration of Training: 4 years Pre commission training and 1-year post commission training.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month after 3 years of training.

Type of Commission: Permanent


Entry: AFMC Entry

Age: 17 years in December of the year of application.

Educational Qualification: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern ofSchool Education or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and not less than 50% in any of the 5 subjects.                                    

Gender: Male and Female

Selection Procedure: Candidate will have to appear in NEET 2020, based on the marks obtained in NEET shortlisted candidates will be called for ToELR test and interview.

Place of Training: AFMC, Pune.

Duration of Training: 4 ½ years of MBBS and 1 year of internship.

Stipend during Training: Approximately Rs. 3000 per month.

Type of Commission: Depends on the vacancy.


Entry: Military Nursing Service Entry.

Age: 17 to 25 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body. Candidates who will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally. The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying examination with requisite subjects and marks before joining the Course.

Gender: Only For Females

Selection Procedure: Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type Online Computer Based Examination covering General English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Intelligence. On the basis of merit of Online Computer Based Examination, candidates will be called for interview.

Place of Training: Different Military Nursing colleges in India.

Duration of Training: 4 years

Type of Commission: Depends on the Vacancy.


Join Indian Army Through Graduate Entries:


Entry: CDSE Entry (PC)

Age: 19-24 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.

Gender: Male

Selection Procedure: Candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written exam (CDSE) conducted by UPSC.

Place of Training: Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Duration of Training: 18 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Permanent.


Entry: CDSE Entry (SSC)

Age: 19-25 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will have to appear for SSB interview after clearing the written exam (CDSE) conducted by UPSC.

Place of Training: Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Duration of Training:11 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.


Entry: SSC-Tech Entry

Age: 20-27 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Graduate or in final year of engineering degree course from a recognized university.

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB on the basis of their branch and percentage till sixth semester of engineering.

Place of Training: Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Duration of Training: 11 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.


Entry: NCC Special Entry.

Age: 19-25 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Graduation with a minimum 50% aggregate.

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Candidate those who have minimum ‘B’ grade in NCC ‘C’ certificate exam will be called for SSB.

Place of Training: Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Duration of Training: 11 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.


Entry: Technical Graduate Course (TGC entry)

Age: 20-27 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Graduate or in final year of engineering degree course from a recognized university.

Gender: Male.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB on the basis of their branch and percentage till sixth semester of engineering.

Place of Training: Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Duration of Training: 12 months.

Stipend during Training: Salary entitled to a Lieutenant. 

Type of Commission: Permanent.


Entry: Judge Advocate General (JAG) entry.

Age: 21-27 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Passed LLB course with a minimum 55% aggregate from a recognized university and must be eligible for registration with Bar Council of India.

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Direct SSB interview.

Place of Training: Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

Duration of Training: 11 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.


Entry: Remount and Veterinary Core (RVC) Entry.

Age: 21-30 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: BVSc/BVSc & AH degree from any of the recognized Indian university or its equivalent foreign degree (i.e. the candidate must possess recognized veterinary qualification included in the first or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984).

Gender: Male and Female.

Selection Procedure: Direct SSB interview.

Place of Training: RVC Centre & College, Meerut Cantt

Stipend during Training: As one is directly recruited as Captain in this entry, the person draws the salary of a Captain.

Type of Commission: Short Service Commission.

**If an officer is found unsuitable within 01 year of the grant of commission, his commission may be terminated at any time before the contractual period of service for five years.

Join Indian Army Through Post-Graduate Entry:


Entry: Army Education Core (AEC) entry.

Age: 23-27 years at the time of course commencement.

Educational Qualification: Post graduate degree, M.A./M.Sc., course from a recognized university with a minimum second division.

Gender: Male.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB on the basis of their marks in post-graduation.

Place of Training: Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Duration of Training: 12 months.

Stipend during Training: Rs. 56,100 per month.

Type of Commission: Permanent.


NOTE: 1.) Selection in all the entries is subject to vacancies, medical fitness and final merit list.

2.) The final merit list is made by combining the written marks and the marks obtained in the SSB interview. In case there was no written exam for a particular entry the final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the SSB interview.
